We choose not to look away, but engage!

Community Center

Self, Inc Community Center is designed to provide a safe haven and other supportive services to an average of 100 participants daily, who have not yet made a commitment to treatment. Services provided include, but are not limited to, case management, referral, education, emergency transportation and nutritional refreshments.

  Work Release Program

The work release program takes place two days a week. This program helps men who are incarcerated and required to look for work. Self, Inc. assists these men with employment, and if necessary, housing.

Other Supportive Services

On-Site Job Training: Self, Inc. has developed an industry standard job training for clients in our residential and treatment programs. We provide the case management and supportive services to assist the clients in successfully completing the program.
On-Site Medical Services: Provided by Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc.’s Fairmount Health Center, at least one physician assistant administers primary care services at Outley house two day a week. For specialized services and prescription assistance programs, and for residents of other SELF housing programs, referrals are made to Fairmount Health Clinic.
Member Retention: Incentive and peer support will be used to retain residents in this housing component, as with other venues for the recovery. If an issue should arise involving a member who wants to leave, every effort to present alternatives will occur by person-centered interaction.
